Hey Everyone - let's talk acne! What challenges are you having?
I own/run a successful Acne Clinic near San Francisco, CA. I treat clients all around the world, plus I have a training dvd for skincare professionals. I would love to network with you and swap acne stories and information.

You must also be sure that products with these ingredients are formulated properly so they penetrate the pore.
How should the products be formulated?
I'm not a advocate of it as I feel that it has been overprescribed. The side effects are serious. I've really only encountered a few that I would suggest its use (cystic acne on the face and body). But, if I have a client who is already on it I watch them like a hawk. My rule is IF EVERYTHING ELSE FAILS consider it. And I insist on blood work results or I will not work with them.
I agree that there are better alternatives to 99% of acne problems.

Lately, I've thought about creating a You Tube channel for my business. I've been going through acne extraction videos just to see what's on there. Most people are doing extractions on the nose in these videos. I don't do extractions on the nose as I believe that those are not blackheads... they are sebaceous filmaments. I actually did a blog post on it; so when you google sebaceous filaments, I'm the first one to come up, haha. Just call me the sebaceous filament queen. Here's the post:

A lot of my clients spent hours a day trying to squeeze them out and once I told them they weren't blackheads- they were shocked! haha. Thanks for your blog Laura, I have learned a lot of unique and valuable information from you.
