Are your clients thinking about doing Accutane (or it's generic?)

Have them read my blog post about it - there are MUCH better alternatives that won't compromise their health.  We have soooo many clients who have done one or several rounds and still break out after they are off of it.  NOT worth it!!

I'm not a advocate of it as I feel that it has been overprescribed. The side effects are serious. I've really only encountered a few that I would suggest its use (cystic acne on the face and body). But, if I have a client who is already on it I watch them like a hawk. My rule is IF EVERYTHING ELSE FAILS consider it. And I insist on blood work results or I will not work with them.

I agree that there are better alternatives to 99% of acne problems.

Many bring up considering using Accutane. However, most (in my mind) are not candidates because there condition does not warrant it. Many consider it because they look at it as the "quick fix". They really don't consider the side effects.
